I'll help you sort through the choices, answer your questions honestly, and make recommendations based on your travel style—not what an algorithm thinks you should book.

Everything starts with a conversation. Before I recommend a destination, hotel, or itinerary, I want to get to know you. We'll talk about the kind of vacation you're hoping for, your priorities, your budget, and what has made past trips memorable—or disappointing. Those conversations become the foundation for every recommendation I make.If we decide to move forward together, I'll guide you through the next steps of the planning process.

I thought travel advisors worked for free.

For many years, travel advisors were compensated primarily through commissions paid by hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and other travel suppliers. That is still true for many vacations.However, today's travel planning often involves much more than simply making reservations. Researching destinations, comparing options, designing customized itineraries, coordinating multiple suppliers, and providing ongoing guidance all require significant time and expertise.For that reason, I may charge a professional planning fee for more complex or highly customized trips. What kinds of trips do you specialize in?

I specialize in custom European vacations, ocean and river cruises, adventure and immersive travel, and celebration and milestone trips. While these are my areas of expertise, I'm happy to discuss other destinations and travel styles as well.

Absolutely! Many of my clients already have a destination in mind—or have even booked their flights—before reaching out.Whether you need help choosing the right hotels, planning your itinerary, selecting a cruise, arranging transportation, or finding experiences that match your travel style, I'm happy to step in wherever you are in the planning process.We'll start by talking about what you've already planned and identify where I can add the most value.

Aack!  Am I too late to book my trip?

Let's talk about that.While planning early gives you the greatest selection and flexibility, many wonderful vacations can still come together on a shorter timeline.As a general guideline, I recommend beginning the planning process:12–18 months ahead for many cruises, especially popular itineraries and specialty cabins.9–12 months ahead for custom European vacations and multi-destination trips.6–8 months ahead for most all-inclusive beach vacations.That said, I've planned a Swiss rail adventure and an Italian honeymoon with 3 months notice.  They both turned out beautifully.And, I worked with a client who wanted to surprise her husband  to see Manchester United play -- We pulled it together in two weeks and they had an unforgettable time.If your departure date is approaching, don't assume it's too late. Reach out anyway. I'll give you an honest assessment of what's possible and help you make the most of the time you have.
